Postcards from PEI – Day 6

We’re 162 holes in. 9 of 10 courses complete.  The cumulative fatigue factor is kicking in but it is not detracting from a memorable golf trip.  Today was Green Gables (a consensus favourite) and Andersons Creek (a nice layout with some strong par 3’s).  Being only 6 minutes from each course, we’re appreciating the rental home we have at The Gables.  It’s been perfect.  Being a fan of Stanley Thompson design courses, this is another course on the Island I’d be pleased to be a member of.  Thompson built a course in PEI with 18 unique and solid holes.  The holes along the ocean are sensational.

Hard to believe we have only one more round left.  The trip has been outstanding…but more on that soon.  I’ll keep this brief and share some pictures from today.  After 161 holes of play in PEI, I finally found my driver so bring on tomorrow.

Early sun filtering through the trees at Green Gables. Another Classic Thompson design.

Yes, that is Anne of Green Gables home. Very cool to see it off the 11th fairway.

Andersons Creek is a prominent feature of the course bearing its name. The elevation change demands thought off the tee and on approach shots.
