The factors that converged to allow for this trip – 3 of Manitoba’s best public courses in 2 days, with a good friend from the area – may never align again (though I hope it can). This was a truly special golf experience. The course itself, like seemingly many Manitoba courses, is wildly underrated. The lakeside golf holes are spectacular. And when the course cuts inland there is some enjoyable and really well designed golf holes. The experience playing Granite Hills was fun and unpretentious. While people joke about the short golfing season in parts of Canada (especially Manitoba) this is a course people should make an effort to experience.
Mildly addicted to the game of golf. Fiercely loyal. A planner, a dreamer, reflective and a proud and passionate Canadian. A father. A fiancé. A tree planter. A Trent graduate. A dog owner. Falling in love with my putter after many failed relationships. A scratch golfer stuck in a 10 handicap body. Love, love, love golf value. Fade on a good day. One ace (and seeking a second). A golf writer/blogger focused on public golf in Canada. Chipping away at my own Bucket List of Canadian golf courses.
