I have made my bias clear on this issue, I love golf lists. Course rankings, equipment, and even blogs; I respect their subjectivity and how they become fodder for friendly banter.
I had not heard about the Golf Assessor site until they reached out to me but I feel like I’ve found a treasure trove of reviews and lists. They bill themselves as the web’s number 1 independent golf equipment review site. Based on the scope of content and the solid presentation of information it’s hard to argue. For example, check out their golf rangefinder post here as it has everything you need!
For 2017, I moved up from their inaugural Best 50 Golf Blog List but remain on their honourable mention list. Looking around the world there are many excellent golf blogs so to be even considered is a great honour. And this contact opened me up to a site I’ll be visiting over and over. Great people there, too. Thank you for the acknowledgement and wishing you continued success.
Golf Assessor is based in South Africa but has information relevant to golf enthusiasts worldwide.
TRIPLE BOGEY BREWING CO.
For friends of 36aday based in Canada, you are likely already aware of this beautiful marriage of golf and beer. Triple Bogey is the official beer of 36aday and you may have ready my review (from May 2014).
My first experience with this beer was a direct purchase in the spring of 2014; I treated myself to some swag too knowing my golf trip would bring cold weather. From May to October +3 is practically the only beer I will consume. I’m always happy to support a Canadian golf success story (especially one that tastes so good). And as an update to the May 2014 post, you can pick up Triple Bogey in Ontario at certain LCBO stores and I understand Geoff Tait continues to work to advance access across the country.
Where ever you tee it up, ask for Triple Bogey. Congratulations Geoff on your success!

Herb McNally is a skilled and passionate artist who combines interests in art, graphic communications and golf.
His work is centrally profiled on his website, including one of his more recent designs…for 36aday. I’m very proud to showcase this image as my new visual brand.
He does excellent work, his approach to communication is clear and non-technical and very customer centred. I wouldn’t look anywhere else for graphic design in golf. Thanks, Herb.
